Susannah Muskovitz is a principal with the law firm of Muskovitz & Lemmerbrock, LLC. She has been a Certified Specialist in labor and employment law since 2002. She has been honored every year as a “Super Lawyer” by Cincinnati Magazine since 2005. In 2007, she was honored as one of the “Top 50 Women Lawyers” by Northern Ohio Live magazine. For the past 10 years, she has received an AV ® Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell for Very High Ethical Standards and Very High to Preeminent Legal Ability.
Ms. Muskovitz has been practicing labor and employment law in Ohio since 1984. She has extensive experience representing labor unions, primarily in the public sector. Ms. Muskovitz also works as a neutral arbitrator for employment disputes involving individuals, and is a member of both the Commercial Arbitration Panel and the National Panel of Employment Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association.
Ms. Muskovitz was an Instructor at Cleveland State University and taught Public Sector Labor Law through the Labor-Management Relations Center for ten years. She is the past chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Cleveland Bar Association, the Labor Advisory Council of the American Arbitration Association and the Public Sector Labor Relations Association. Ms. Muskovitz is currently serving on the Executive Boards of Policy Matters Ohio (a public policy think tank) and Starting Point (a resource and referral center for child care and early education). She also serves on the Education Committee of Hard Hatted Women.
Ms. Muskovitz received an AB with honors in 1981 from McGill University and a JD in 1984 from Case Western Reserve University.
Ryan J. Lemmerbrock is a principal with the law firm Muskovitz & Lemmerbrock, LLC. He has been practicing labor law in Ohio since 2003. Mr. Lemmerbrock represents both public and private sector labor unions throughout Northeast Ohio in various labor-relation matters, including arbitrations, negotiations, administrative hearings, and general litigation. He has represented unions in cases before various Ohio courts, the U.S. District Court, the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Ohio, as well as various administrative agencies.
Mr. Lemmerbrock is a member and former Chair and Vice-Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Cleveland Bar Association, and a member of the Labor Employment Relations Association. He was named a Rising Star in the 2010 Ohio Super Lawyers magazine, and has served as a lecturer on a variety of subjects including advocacy in disciplinary arbitrations, the Employee Free Choice Act, vacating and enforcing arbitration awards, and state legislation involving municipal residency requirements. Mr. Lemmerbrock was also a contributing author for Elkouri & Elkouri, How Arbitration Works on such issues as vacating and enforcing arbitration awards before reviewing courts.
Prior to his role as a principal with Muskovitz & Lemmerbrock, LLC and working as an associate with Faulkner, Muskovitz, and Phillips, LLP, Mr. Lemmerbrock was a law clerk for the Division of Judges of the National Labor Relations Board and a law clerk for the D.C. Employment Justice Center. In 2002, he was the recipient of the Center of Forensic Economic Studies Excellence in Litigation Award and the Peggy Browning Scholarship Award. He also served as legal intern for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local No. 8, in Toledo, Ohio.
Mr. Lemmerbrock received a BA in 2000 from Miami University and a JD with honors in 2003 from the University of Maryland School of Law.
William E. Froehlich is an associate attorney with the law firm Muskovitz & Lemmerbrock, LLC.
Prior to joining the firm in 2011, Mr. Froehlich worked as a research fellow on a public policy dispute resolution project with Election Law @ Moritz and Moritz College of Law’s Alternative Dispute Resolution program. Previously Mr. Froehlich served as a legal intern at the Ohio Department of Education, as a legislative aide for the Ohio Senate Democratic Caucus, and as a member of the fundraising staff for U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown’s 2006 campaign. While a staff member in the Ohio Senate, he followed legislation related to public education and worked with the Ohio Federation of Teachers.
Mr. Froehlich graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2011 where he was a Public Service Fellow and a Managing Editor for the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law. While in law school, he recieved the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law, the ALI-ABA Scholarship and Leadership Award, and CALI awards in Mediation Practicum and Dispute Systems Design. He was also awarded second prize in the 2011 Nancy H. Rogers Prize in Dispute Resolution writing competition.
Mr. Froehlich is a life-long resident of Ohio. He graduated from Denison University in 2006 with a degree in mathematics and political science, and studied abroad in Geneva, Switzerland.
